                                        Tim Crommes – Studio Director / Artistic Director
                                                     Tim started tap dancing at the age of 5.  The studio was called Dixon Dance         
                                          
       Studio and was located in Troy, Ohio.  The following year he added jazz dance to
                                          
       his regimen.  The first recital routine was “Kung Fu Fighting”.  In high school, Mr.
                                          
       Crommes began to study classical ballet at the school of Dayton Ballet (Josephine
                                          
       Schwartz – The Schwartz School).  He then decided to major in dance at Wright
                                          
       State University, where he studied daily with professors Patricia White for
                                          
       Modern, Jon Rodriguez for Ballet, and Suzanne Walker for Jazz.  In the evenings,
                                          
       his training continued with the professional company of the Dayton Ballet.  Tim
                                          
       Graduated “Magna Cum Laude” from Wright State University with a BFA in Dance
                                          
       and Musical Theatre.  He then furthered his studies by training with Broadway and
                                          
       Television legend Ben Vereen, and took master classes with the Voganova
                                          
       Academy – the Kirov Ballet, Russia.  
His Professional credits include: Dancer / Singer at Geauga Lake Amusement Park, Showbiz, Inc., – Lead Dancer /
Singer at Cedar Point Amusement Park – Lead Dancer in “Stage Struck”, Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, VA. – Lead
Dancer aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Peter Grey Terhune Presents.  Mr. Crommes returned to Cedar Point as
the choreographer for the park’s six live stage shows.  He was also offered numerous contracts for the position of
“choreographer” for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and Crystal Cruise lines.
Actor’s Equity credits were received at the Candlelight Theatre in Chicago, Illinois for the Broadway shows “Little Me”
and “Evita.” In order to work at the Candlelight Theatre, Mr. Tim turned down an instant equity role as Billy Crocker in
“Anything Goes” at Drury Lane Theatre, Chicago. His other Chicago credit is for the show “Encore, Encore” at The
Drama Group.
Life in the world of ballroom dance began with Fred Astaire Dance Studios, when Mr. Tim was the top advanced male
instructor for the state of Ohio, 1996. That opportunity and the years spent with FADS, led to the eventual opening of
Dance Works, and the franchising of the Ballroom Department to Fred Astaire Franchised Dance Studio – Canal
Winchester.

                                        Jayme Coakley – Assistant Studio Director /
                                                                Administrative Director
                                                     Mr. Coakley comes to Dance Works after working for Fred Astaire Dance
                                                 Studios. In 1998, along with his professional ballroom dance partner Megan Mello,
                                                 Jayme won the title of “Smooth & Latin Ballroom Champions” within the Fred
                                                 Astaire organization. He has been the pageant coordinator and chief executive
                                                 officer for the “Pickerington Violet Festival Queen’s Scholarship Program,” and the
                                                 “Miss Pickerington Scholarship Program,” a preliminary pageant of the “Miss Ohio”
                                                 and “Miss America” systems. Jayme is the manager of, and an instructor in, the
                                                 Fred Astaire Franchised Dance Studio-Canal Winchester, and is the business
                                                 administrator, and competition coordinator at Dance Works.  He consistently
                                                 receives first place awards with his students in the local, regional, and national
                                                 level competitions with placements based upon entertainment value, ballroom  
technique and precision, performance ability, and overall presentation, and has choreographed several Gold, High
Gold, and Platinum routines.

                                        Marilyn Brust - Performing Arts Instructor
                                                     When she started teaching at Dance Works, Marilyn came back "home". She had
                                                 previously taught dance at this location when it was Perrow Studio of Dance.
                                                 Marilyn's dance background started at the Helen Hempleman and Joan Garret-Wine
                                                 studios in Newark, Ohio. She then studied baton under Butch Theisan and Cathi
                                                 Zupancic, performing at various functions, competitions and parades. She was a
                                                 majorette in high school and her Senior year became interested in color-guard.
                                                 After graduation, Marilyn taught flag, rifle and majorette lines for 11 years to
                                                 various high schools around Central Ohio and also served as a judge for color-
                                                 guard and dance teams at competitions. She has a degree in Business
                                                 Adminisration from Otterbein College. Marilyn  retired from corporate management
                                                 and training after 20 years and decided to pursue her dream of teaching dance.
                                                 She currently lives in Canal Winchester with husband, Ty and son, Kyle.

                                        Jennifer Doelger – Office Staff / Receptionist
                                                     Jennifer graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor in Art,
                                                 emphasis in Theatre, in 2003. From day one, she was immersed in the world of
                                                 being backstage. It started with working in the scene shop, from running the lights
                                                 in the winter 2000 production of ‘London Cuckolds’. Eventually Jennifer found the
                                                 love of stage management, with being the assistant stage manager for Ezra
                                                 Pound's version of ‘Sophokles’ Elektra’ in autumn of 2001, and then for ‘W;t’ by
                                                 Margaret Edson in the spring of 2001. In the spring of 2002, Jennifer became the
                                                 stage manager for ‘Memory of Water’ by Shelagh Stephenson working with visiting
                                                 director from London, England, Valerie Lucas. The last show she stage managed
                                                 for The Ohio State University was ‘Oxygen’ by Carl Djerassi & Roald Hoffman in
                                                 the winter of 2002. Since then Jennifer has stage-managed one play entitled
                                                Gravedigger’s’ for a small independent production. She has also worked with a up and
coming local film production company brought together by two brothers called Meister Boo Imagination. Jennifer was
the Assistant Director for the short film entitled ‘Trust, But Not the Grapes’, which won third place at a The Ohio State
University film contest for on the rise filmmakers. The latest production she was able to work on with the production
company was ‘Something to Hold On To’, which was the company’s first short length feature film, where she was the
First Assistant Director.
